Northern Chile: Google Space Telescope to be built |
|
You have heard of Google Earth that serves maps of the World. Now, Google is planning to build a telescope in Northern Chile. The telescope will be built on the Cerro Pachon mountain peak in Northern Chile.
Cerro Pachon mountain peak in Chile is one of the best places in the World for viewing stars. It is a place where the Milky Way really is milky.
The proposed Google Space telescope will be built alongside existing NASA and international telescopes.
It will allow users to view the galaxy with one of the Worlds most powerful space telescopes, just as the professionals do. It will be of course tied to a massive search engine to allow for the sorting of all the data collected, and permit users to sort out the most significant as events such as supernovas and asteroids, .
Perhaps with that many millions of eye balls looking out, we might finally find something other than rocks in Space.
